
Gluten-Free Tamari Tofu Steak is a great addition to your everyday meal. Tofu is a good source of protein and contains other nutrients. You can add the Tofu Steak to your salad, serve it over rice or eat alone as an appetizer. You can also customize the sauce to your liking. Add sugar to it for sweet Teriyaki sauce or pour your favorite dressing. It is so easy to prepare and will not break the bank.
Ingredients
- ½ Tofu (Silken/Medium/Hard to your liking)
- Japanese Gluten-Free Rice Flour
- 1 tablespoon Tamari Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- Green Onion, diced
- Ginger, grated
- Vegetable oil for pan-frying

Directions
Step 1
Pat dry Tofu and place it on the rack.
Step 2
To drain water, sprinkle salt over Tofu and wrap it with a paper towel. Leave Tofu in the fridge overnight. Occasionally changing paper towel recommended. (If no time to drain water, you may skip this process.)
Step 3
Mix Tamari, Sesame Oil, Green Onion and Ginger to make a sauce. You may add hot pepper to your liking.
Step 4
Slice Tofu into ½” thick.
Step 5
Sprinkle Japanese Gluten-Free Rice Flour on each side of Tofu.

Step 6
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Step 7
Pan fry until golden brown, 3-4 minutes on each side.
Step 8
Pour sauce conservatively over Tofu to serve.
